This GT Recaro Seat Foam from TMI is a fantastic idea for when you put in new upholstery or freshen up a worn-out seat in your '79-'82 GT Mustang. Recaro Expert "M"

The Recaro Expert "M" features the same adjustable backrest side bolsters as the "S", but has a longer and flatter seat cushion that is particularly suitable for medium to large people. The "M" seat cushion is also great for drivers who need to get in and out of their vehicle frequently and for vehicles such as SUVs and vans where the door is high from the ground. The Recaro Expert "M" also has optional Armrests.

Additional Notes on Recaro Upholstery Choices (not all choices apply to all seats):

Suede= Ultra quality, very soft & durable synthetic "suede" like fabric.

Jersey= Top quality pinpoint mesh fabric, medium soft, like sports clothing fabric, i.e. "Black & Silver Grey Jersey" is a silver grey jersey fabric with a black mesh jersey fabric bonded on top.

Nardo= Ultra high quality fabric, very comfortable and durable, medium soft.

Avus= Like Nardo, but slightly softer to the touch.

Velour= Very soft & smooth, "knit" like.

Artista= Same as Nardo, but with a subtle geometric pattern.

Vinyl= High grade, thick, ultimate durability, not recommended for hot climates.

AM Vinyl= Looks more like leather (simulated) than Vinyl.

Saturn= Has silicon bumps for grip (great for performance driving & racing) on the panel between the center insert cushion and the outer bolster.

Leather= Beautiful top grade cow hides, supple & strong.

RECARO SEAT INSTALLATION NOTICE: You most likely will also need to purchase Sliders and Custom Mount Brackets to install Recaro seats into your vehicle.
The Sliders bolt to the bottom of the Recaro seat and allow it to slide fore / aft and to lock into position. Recaro Sliders are double locking for added safety and security.
The Custom Mount Brackets bolt to the Sliders allowing the seat to bolt into the factory bolt holes in the vehicles floorboard.
The prices for Slider/Bracket combinations average around $195.00 per seat (some are higher and some are lower). Shipping on Slider/Bracket combinations averages about $50.00 per seat.
Upon ordering your Recaro seats, at the bottom of our Secure Order Form you will find the 'Additional Information' section; enter the Year, Make and Model of your vehicle.
Upon receipt of your order we will contact you with your additional charges for the Slider/Bracket combination required for installation of the Recaro seats.
If you prefer to build your own mounting brackets for the Recaro seats just let us know in the comments area. Sliders are available separately for $102.00 per seat.

Capital Parts Numbers

0515072300 Bolster Foam - Left Hand

Each Recaro has a basic model number such as A8, LS, SRD. The first 2 letters stand for the back of the seat. The last digit stands for the base of the seat. For example an LX will stand for the back of the seat with its trademark pointy triangular bolsters but an LX-A will be the same back mounted to a flat base. Here is an example of a 3rd gen LX (top picture) and a 3rd gen LX-A (bottom)
